Barua Zetu is a space for reflection, remembrance, and truth-telling. It exists to honor what Kenyans saw, felt, and did—capturing the emotional, personal, and political impact of the June 2024 protests. Through collective memory, it preserves the complexity of our experiences, celebrates resilience, and affirms the promises we’ve made to ourselves and each other, while respecting the diverse perspectives that shape our understanding.

I give permission for my submission to be included in the Barua Zetu – A Memory Project archives and future exhibitions, publications, or educational materials (credited or anonymous based on my choices above). Barua-Zetu will not use my story for any commercial purposes. In all permitted uses, the owner and/or writer of the story will be appropriately credited, unless I have chosen to remain anonymous. By submitting your story, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms.
